We are a research group in the Department of Chemistry at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, led by Professor Michael S. Freund.

Our research spans three interconnected themes:

  • Sustainable Fuels — Membrane and electrode technologies for green hydrogen production and solar water splitting.
  • Machine Olfaction — Electronic nose systems using conducting polymer sensor arrays combined with AI for vapor recognition.
  • Polymer Electronics — Synthesis, characterization, and application of conducting and self-doped polymers.
